![]() ![]() I'm talking DV UHDs where both the HDR10 and the DV have the same bitrate. So yes, I think it's between the Sony and Panasonic £270 price range I have many blurays and dvds however which justify it to some degree, but in reality this is a luxury gadget that I could do without but still want regardless! In terms of only going for DV players, it looks like my quiet requirement is only met by players around the 250-300 mark. I have about 20 or so 4k blurays, so you could say its not worth it. Getting a DV player gives me that assurance that it's future proofed for all formats for the current generation of players.Īs for the costs per disk etc, granted this generation I am going to have less disks, so you could argue the player is not needed at all because it doesn't warrent the cost. So for me, dv wins over standard hdr easily. ![]() Hdr10+ however is where the competition is, and I dont think many disks support that format. Click to expand. So I have a lot of different disks in varying format, so maybe it's a good feature to have everything in DV.Īs for DV being over rated - on my B9 I've had some fantastic viewing with dv (Netflix etc, hence the desire for bluray and higher bitrate), and colour and bitrate alone means it should whip the floor over hdr. ![]()
