Future research may benefit from studies on Reiki in clinical practice. Furthermore, results imply benefit of additional training for clinicians in integrative methods and benefits of better understanding just how mindfulness skills improve symptoms of GAD. Conclusions: Results imply the benefit of utilizing Mindfulness and Spiritually Based Interventions to treat Generalized Anxiety Disorder in conjunction with traditional forms of treatment. However, results only supported the use of mindfulness-based interventions and spiritually-based interventions in the treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Results: Basic findings supported the use of all integrative methods when treating anxiety. Methods: This is a theoretical study, that examines previous literature on Generalized Anxiety Disorder and integrative methods. The integrative methods studied include mindfulness-based interventions, meditation, Reiki, and Spirituality. The use of integrative methods is examined and their effectiveness in treating Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
