The drive is 1TB, I have made sure it is connecting with USB 3.0, I've made sure it is partitioned, I've tried each USB port, I've restarted the console, I've made sure the console has the current updates, I've adjusted the power settings to uncheck "When It still works with my computer, so I know the drive is still functional. In most cases, your WD external hard drive can’t be recognized by your computer is caused by drive letter conflict or having no drive letter. Assign a new drive letter for your WD external hard drive. ![]() Other purposes but deleted everything from it when I decided to use it on my Xbox. After that, open This PC (or My Computer) to check if the WD external hard drive is showing up. Unfortunately, when I plug the hard drive into the Xbox One it is not recognized at all. ![]() I have run out of room on my Xbox One internal hard drive, so I am re-purposing an old external hard drive to increase my storage. ![]()
